Sunrise Celebration was a new festival that started to mark Summer Solstice 2006, and "was born out of a desire to provide an ethical alternative to the host of mainstream pop-culture festivals that dominate the summer season". It could be described as Big Green Gathering for a more dance-orientated audience, with strong environmental policies and a superb lineup of music, workshops, talks, and things to enjoy.  Respect to Sunbird, Daniel Hurring, and the many others who made this event so special.
